Indian Mutual Fund Industry for the month of October 2018 stood at ₹ 23,59,225 crore.
Assets Under Management (AUM)as
on November 30, 2018 stood at ₹24,03,134 crore.
AUM of the Indian MF Industry has grown from ₹ 4.05 trillion as on 30th November 2008 to ₹24.03 trillion as on 30th November, 2018, almost 6 fold increase in a
span of 10 years!!
MF Industry’s AUM has grown from ₹8.90 trillion as on 30th November,
2013 to ₹24.03 trillion as on 30th November, 2018, more than two and
half fold increase in a span of 5 years !!
The Industry’s AUM had crossed the milestone of ₹10 Trillion (₹10 Lakh Crore) for the first time
in May 2014 and in a short span of about three years, the AUM size had
increased more than two folds and crossed ₹ 20 trillion (₹20 Lakh Crore) for
the first time in August 2017. The Industry AUM stood at ₹24.03 Trillion (₹ 2403
Lakh Crore) as on 30th November, 2018.
total number of accounts (or folios as per mutual fund parlance) as on 30th November, 2018 stood at 7.97 crore (79.7 million), while the number of folios under
Equity, ELSS and Balanced schemes, wherein the maximum investment is from
retail segment stood at 6.71 crore (67.1 million). This
is 54th consecutive month witnessing rise in the no. of folios.
