Avg. Assets Under Management (AAUM) are at all time high! - ₹ 25.20 Lakh Crore (INR 25.20 Trillion)
Under Management (AUM)as on August 31, 2018 has crossed a landmark of ₹ 25 trillion and
stood at ₹25,20,430 crore.
Under Management (AAUM)of Indian Mutual Fund Industry
for the month of August 2018 has
crossed a landmark of ₹24 trillion and stood at ₹ 24,70,070 crore.
AUM of the Indian MF Industry has grown from ₹ 5.45 trillion as on 31st August 2008 to ₹25.20 trillion as on 31st August, 2018, more than four fold
increase in a span of 10 years!!
MF Industry’s AUM has grown from ₹7.66 trillion as on 31st August, 2013
to ₹25.20 trillion as on 31st August, 2018, more than three fold
increase in a span of 5 years!!
The Industry’s AUM had crossed the milestone of ₹10 Trillion (₹10 Lakh Crore) for the first time
in May 2014 and in a short span of about three years, the AUM size had
increased more than two folds and crossed ₹ 20 trillion (₹20 Lakh Crore) for
the first time in August 2017. The Industry AUM stood at ₹25.20 Trillion (₹ 25.20
Lakh Crore) as on 31st August 2018
total number of accounts (or folios as per mutual fund parlance) as on August 31,
2018 stood at 7.66 crore (76.6 million), while the number of folios under
Equity, ELSS and Balanced schemes, wherein the maximum investment is from
retail segment stood at 6.41 crore (64.1 million). This
is 51st consecutive month witnessing rise in the no. of folios.
