Indian Mutual Fund Industry as on November 30, 2019 has crossed a landmark of ₹ 27 Lakh Crore and stood at ₹ 27,04,699 crore.
AverageAssets Under Management (AAUM)of Indian Mutual Fund Industry for the
month of November 2019 are at all time high at ₹ 26,94,385 crore.
AUM of the Indian MF Industry has grown from ₹ 8.22 trillion as on 30th
November, 2009 to ₹27.05 trillion as on 30th November, 2019, about 3½
fold increase in a span of 10 years.
MF Industry’s AUM has grown from ₹ 10.90 trillion as on 30th
November, 2014 to ₹27.05 trillion as on 30th November, 2019, about 2
½ fold increase in a span of 5 years.
The Industry’s AUM had crossed the milestone of ₹10 Trillion (₹10 Lakh Crore) for the first time
in May 2014 and in a short span of about three years, the AUM size had
increased more than two folds and crossed ₹ 20 trillion (₹20 Lakh Crore) for
the first time in August 2017. The Industry AUM stood at ₹27.05 Trillion (₹ 27.05
Lakh Crore) as on 30th November, 2019.
total number of accounts (or folios as per mutual fund parlance) as on November
30, 2019 stood at 8.65 crore (86.5 million), while the number of folios under
Equity, Hybrid and Solution Oriented Schemes, wherein the maximum investment is
from retail segment stood at 7.72 crore (77.2 million). This is 66th consecutive month
witnessing rise in the no. of folios.
